Media Law
Our Media Law Practice attorneys have a statewide print and broadcast
practice and advise multiple media clients on a variety of matters including
libel, privacy, pre-publication reviews of stories and advertising, right
of access issues, and subpoenas of reporters. The firm represents the
largest daily newspaper in the state. Most notably, the firm's lawyers
have forty years of combined experience in aggressively litigating defamation
and privacy claims for state and national publications and broadcasters.
The firm annually presents libel and privacy seminars, and authors the
New Mexico section of the Media Law Resource Center (MLRC), “Media
Libel Law Survey,” which is prepared by leading media attorneys and
law firms throughout the United States. The firm also serves as the New
Mexico editor for the MLRC - "Media Law Letter".
